After weeks of waiting, it seems that most Twitter users now have access to “,” the shiny and altogether different interface the company announced back in September.
We’re trying to confirm with Twitter staff that the company is indeed wrapping up the rollout of New Twitter soon. If you don’t have the new interface yet, check Twitter.com again in an hour or two and keep an eye out for the changes in your own account.
New Twitter features a brand new look and feel for Twitter.com. Although you’ll still have most of the features you rely on, many of them will be in a slightly different location or actually be easier to use.
For example, video and other multimedia will be seen in the stream; you won’t always have to navigate to other sites to see the tweeted content.
Also, conversation threading has greatly improved, and the whole UI is now based on the pleasing proportions of the Golden Ratio.
The new design may take some getting used to, but we’re hearing that the majority of users (at least in our poll) loved or liked New Twitter.
If you’ve just gotten the new design, what do you think of it so far?
UPDATE: We’ve just heard from Twitter that the majority of users now have access to New Twitter, and rollout is continuing.
