YouTube is celebrating the end of the year by hosting an online countdown of 2010’s most memorable videos.
As the countdown page says, 31 videos — including the most memorable video of the year — will be selected (one for every day this month). The page — presented by HTC — will be updated daily, and viewers are invited to take a look at related videos that will take them deeper into some of the year’s major hits.
Three videos have made the countdown so far: “Freddie’s Got Flower Power,” “Vuvuzela fever with MysteryGuitarMan” and “Greyson sings GaGa,” where 12-year-old Greyson Chance performs Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” during a school event.
YouTube was inundated with a number of popular viral videos this year — one features U.S. soldiers lip syncing and dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” (embedded below). Others star the likes of the Double Rainbow and “Dude, You Have No Quran” guy.
We’re looking forward to seeing which videos YouTube found most memorable in 2010. What would you like to see on this countdown?
