Each month, our partner Visible Measures compiles a list of the top ten most popular web video series, and we share those results with you and provide analysis. Visible Measures tracks views, comments and other data on web video.
If you’re looking for some video entertainment to watch online during your lunch break, this chart is a great place to start. Just find a show you’re interested in and click the play button to the right to check it out.
May’s chart displays record viewership, but the top shows are mostly the same, with no newcomers and only small changes in ranking. People are watching more of their favorite web TV series, but most aren’t venturing to different series online. Look below for the chart and some deeper insights.

*The Visible Measures Top 10 Webisodes Chart focuses on digital studio-driven Web series that appear on Internet video-sharing destinations and publisher microsites. Each Web series is measured on a True Reach™ basis, which includes viewership of both studio-syndicated video clips and viewer-driven social video placements. The data are compiled using the Visible Measures platform, a constantly growing repository of analytic data on more than 200 million Internet videos across more than 200 video destinations.
If you are a webisode publisher and would like clips from your microsites to be counted towards the chart, please contact Visible Measures.
Note: This chart does not include vloggers, interviews, how-to series, news shows, or product review shows. View-count results are incremental by month.

A New Record: 168 Million Views

This month, the top 10 web series collectively accumulated the highest number of views ever recorded: 168 million.
Visible Measures believes this boost can be explained by the increased frequency of content from series like The Station, and the explosive popularity of series that cater to general audiences, like The Annoying Orange.
The Annoying Orange: Could It Be Any Bigger?

Not only does The Annoying Orange hold the number one spot, but it accounts for 38% of the chart’s total views at more than 64 million views.
The show might not be the most sophisticated one in the top 10, but it’s still topical. A Pac-Man-themed episode hit YouTube not long after Google revived the Pac-Man craze on the game’s 30th anniversary with its playable logo.
Fred’s Gradual Decline

Fred used to be the champion of the chart, but he’s been slipping gradually over the past few months. Why? Because he’s not putting out any new content!
At first we chalked that up to the fact that the actor has been working on a Fred movie for Nickelodeon, but production has wrapped and the web series is as short on new content as ever.
However, landing at #5 with no new content on tap is nothing to shake a stick at. Charlie the Unicorn and Potter Puppet Pals also placed on the chart without new episodes.
