Computational knowledge engine Wolfram Alpha is now available on Android devices running Android version 1.6 or higher.
The application costs $1.99, which is also the price of the iPhone version that launched one year ago. Initially, the iPhone app was extremely expensive at $50, but Wolfram Alpha quickly reduced the price by 96%, offering refunds to customers who bought the app at a higher price.
The Android version of the app brings Wolfram Alpha’s massive repository of curated data and computational abilities to Android handsets. The app features voice input capability and is optimized for the latest Android devices, such as the T-Mobile G2.
The app is available in the Android Market.
